followed by an offering to visit a product homepage.
The same problem occurs on both standalone and portable TreeSize Free 4.8.1.
TreeSize Free 4.7.3 worked properly on Windows 10 x64.

as of version 2.1.12 grepWin is supported on Win 10 22H2 or newer only (another victim of Python 3 being a Redmond sycophant language)

grepWin 2.1.11 still runs on Windows 7

Dear Support,

I have been using Portable Apps for a while and recently noticed that CCleaner versions 7.x has been released. Could you please confirm if this version is supported?

The version installed in Portable Apps v6.39.11548 and I have been unable to get Portable Apps to recognize or run the latest version 7.x.

Also, there is an “Check for Updates” option in the CCleaner app, but it installs directly on the Windows 11 machine instead of updating within Portable Apps.

[Bug] HWiNFO loses sensor settings between runs

Hi!
I have a problem with HWiNFO portable. It just ignores .reg settings file in "Data/settings" folder if it is named as "HWiNFO64-ComputerName.reg" (PC01 is my case). Settings are saved correctly every time "save and close" button is used.
I noticed that when HWiNFO Launcher starts, the .reg file is renamed to HWiNFO64.reg but the settings are ignored even though filename and settings saved are correct. If I manually rename the .reg file before start to HWiNFO64.reg it starts with all saved settings as it should.
Checked on 2 PCs and multiple HWiNFO versions.

Not possible to update ccPortable (CCleaner)

It is not possible to install the latest update for ccPortable. The error message says: Unable to download the file. This could be due to a proxy or network issue or the hosting server not permitting downloads from your location. File: https://download.ccleaner.com/portable/ccsetup639.zip.

something wrong with DUPLICATE FILES FINDER

Hi. I'm using Windows 11, Build 22621 ni_release 220506_1250.
Version of PortableApps is 30.0.4

Installed version Duplicate Files Finder closes right after entering the mouse indicator into the program window.
No way to avoid. Uninstall and Reinstall app.
Went to folder propierties and unselected read-onldy files for all folder.

Doesn't resolve the problem. The issue remains.

No data about this issue in windows event log. Any idea?

[Closed] TeamViewer 15.67.3 doesn't work on Windows 7

The latest version of TeamViewer (15.67.3) doesn't work on Win7 x64. The previous version (15.66.4) does work correctly on Win7. Unless there is an issue with the portable release, the latest version of TeamViewer dropped support for Windows 7. It would be useful to prepare a legacy version of the app.

..But the 'Rufus Portable' folder on Sourceforge.net contains also the program:
--> RSSGuardPortable_4.7.2.paf.exe

I suggest You to move 'RSSGuard Portable 4.7.2' to the related folder on Sourcerforge.net:

JPortable Updates?

Java 8 (freeware) on portableapps is 8u411 (april 2024), there have been 3 updates (with some security fixes too) since.

As far I understand the jPortable online installer, it downloads a re-hosted (somewhere akin to here -> https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Java/) 32/64bit Oracle's tgz archive with binaries, to avoid downloading and portably unpacking the official exe installer without installation, which is not necessarily trivial.

The trouble is, the last published windows tgz archives are for 8u421 (july 2024):

x64: https://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=250130_d8aa70...

With 8u431 and beyond (8u441 is current, from january), Oracle only distributes public exe installers, and private zip archives, that are login-gated:

Will the online installer be adjusted to those (re-hosted?) zip archives, or changed to extract from the public installers, or is jPortable stuck on

Recommendation for portable search app

I am looking to install a search app on my USB thumb drive. I installed Agent Ransack (portable version, from their own site) and it was excellent for searching titles, but when I asked it to search content, it (reasonably enough, I suppose) searched through every video file that I have, which slows down operations considerably.

Is there a search utility that will let me exclude certain file types, when I search for content?

Barring that, I have seen here at the portable apps site, three search utilities:
