according to the trunk page on LAME's sourceforge SVN page, they stated that "CDex has been stolen and is loaded with malware." The last time tried using CDex, it was completely useless. Is the version on the platform actually malware? if not, then it should be marked as discontinued. Thanks

I installed OBS studio a couple of days ago. When I click on the icon in the menu the initial grey, black andawhite startup screen appears and then quickly shuts down. I tried starting from the OBS studio application in the folder. I then uninstalled the program by deleting the folder in my portable apps folder and then reinstalled it. No joy and no results.
Any help in getting the program started would be appreciated.

Just as I was about to post this on audacityteam.org, I figured I should try here, first. If this has been mentioned here before, I apologize but, since it's not in Known Issues...

I'll be playing a track in Audacity and suddenly, after I do something — not sure but I think I pressed the spacebar to stop — sound stops, the cursor keeps on going as if it's still playing, and the application won't respond to the mouse, keyboard or anything. This continues until the cursor reaches the end of the track. Then, everything returns to normal.

I just found this after using MP3Gain.zip for way too many years.
Happy that this fires up; however, is there a reason why it's using version 1.5.2 of MP3Gain? The latest version, from 2018, is 1.6.2 (https://sourceforge.net/projects/mp3gain/files/mp3gain/) and this App was uploaded in November 2019

I have spent hours trawling the interwibble and searched this forum but can't find an answer to the problem I am having with PotPlayer settings. Apologies if the answer is available and I'm just not seeing it.

Basically, I install PotPlayer and set it up as I prefer. When I open PotPlayer, it uses the settings I choose. I can open a media file from within PotPlayer and have the player use the settings I choose.

I just did an upgrade for CDex software and it installed spyware PUA.Win32.FusionCore.SMBD.
It comes in the form of a dll called fusion.dll which is copied to the CDex Apps folder in the PortablePlatform path.
My TrendMicro scan caught it and killed it.
Can someone from PortableApps investigate?

Even though the PortableApps installation (2.3.2) has a folder, apparently located in the correct position, with the contents of the Manual and the Quick Help, when I attempt to open either of them from the Help menu, they open online in the browser instead of locally.

Is there a workaround for this, or is it a bug requiring programming correction?

The splash screen always appears, "DisableSplashScreen=true/false" makes no difference.
