The first sentence says "standalone and portable apps". Are these two different things?
What exactly is PortableApps.com format?
What does "custom command line parameters" mean? Is it something to do with the Windows command prompt?
Just reporting a minor typo for the PAL team.
See: https://portableapps.com/manuals/PortableApps.comLauncher/ref/envsub.html
There's a typo in the page title and the intro paragraph. The title typo is replicated throughout the manual (table of contents, index, nav bar, etc).
Has anyone seen this error, it's for an app I was previously running fine. I tried copying it to a different NFTS formatted drive and got the same error.

After updating the apps, it often happens that any input in the search field starts the first app in the favourites.
Unfortunately, this behaviour is not always reproducible. But if updates have been made, the probability of this error occurring is very high.
After restarting the PortableApps platform, the search can then be used again without any problems.
Is there an option, when deleting/uninstalling an app to bypass the recycle bin?
I recently converted a .bat file to a .exe file using the first process described here (i.e. using IExpress):
https://adamtheautomator.com/bat-to-exe/
I have placed the resultant .exe file in its own folder inside the PortableApps folder, but the PA Platform fails to recognise/find this .exe file. Yes, I have refreshed the app icons and even restarted the computer and PA platform but no joy. If I navigate to the folder and double click on the .exe file it performs as expected.
What's the point of the documents folder? Do some of the apps that can be installed somehow require it?
Why does the platform have a setup app, rather than simply being downloaded as a zip file? What requires the setup app?
